This is the perfect orchard to stop by when sightseeing through Furano by car during the lavender season since it’s the same time that the cherries are picked.
This wide farm 30 minutes from Furano and 1 hour from Asahiyama Zoo(Asahikawa) has wide fields covered with 1,300 trees of 60 varieties that bear sweet, fully ripe cherries.
You’ll be glad to pick and eat as many cherries as you want right on the farm after paying the admission fee (Adults ¥1,650+, Elementary Students ¥1,100+, Younger Children: ¥0+, fee varies with field).
Recently people have been talking about the great taste of our cherries, and visitors from overseas have been visiting this popular spot, along with more and more people organizing group tours or visiting us by rental car.
Our trees are short so that children and seniors can enjoy them as well.
You can take cherries back with you for an additional fee, so how about taking some back to your hotel for a nice after-dinner dessert? The season for fruits picking is from Late June to mid-October.
The orchard’s owner takes great care of the cherries as if they were his own children to give them their fantastic flavor.
There is free parking for up to 500 vehicles, and you can rent long boots, umbrellas and tarps for free.
