Hello from Ohashi Cherry Farm!
The flavors of autumn fruits are gradually reaching their peak 🍇🍑
Among the prunes, “Joke” and “La Robe de Sergent” are especially popular right now. They are nearing full ripeness and are expected to become even sweeter through late September.
Joke: A very large prune with a well-balanced sweet and tart flavor.
La Robe de Sergent: Known as one of the sweetest prune varieties.
For plums, both “Koi Hanabi” and the late-season “Late Sordum” are developing rich flavors.
Koi Hanabi: A large plum with dense flesh and plenty of juice.
Late Sordum: Distinctive for its deep red flesh. When the skin turns fully red, it becomes soft and very juicy.
As for grapes, “Portland” and “Buffalo” are currently semi-ripe, offering a wonderful balance of sweetness and refreshing acidity. Meanwhile, “North Red” is still maturing, with its sweetness expected to deepen over the coming weeks.
Portland: A juicy green variety, low in acidity with strong sweetness.
Buffalo: A richly flavored grape, full of juice with both sweetness and acidity.
North Red: Exceptionally sweet with a delightful fragrance.
