Cherry Tips

- Cherries that are deep red and growing in sunny spots tend to be sweeter.
- Even within the same variety, the flavor can differ from tree to tree and branch to branch. Please enjoy comparing them.
- You may find especially good cherries higher in the tree or near branches with large leaves.
How to Pick Cherries
- Please do not pull the fruit or stem strongly. Pick gently so the branch is not damaged.
- Cherries are delicate fruit. Please pick only what you will eat, one at a time.
- When using a stepladder, check your footing and surroundings, and do not overreach.
Precautions While Picking
- Please be careful not to break branches or flower buds. They are important for next year’s fruit.
- Bags may catch on branches, so we recommend entering the orchard with only what you need.
- Cherry picking is all-you-can-eat inside the orchard. Cherries taken outside are sold by weight.
- Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended.
- There are only a few toilets in the orchard, so please use the main restroom before entering.
