We, Ohashi Cherry Farm prioritize “safe and healthy trees”. We believe safe and healthy tree produces delicious cherries, that is the reason we concentrate on making good soil for a very long time. We do not use chemical fertilizer, instead we have been using compost and organic fertilizer for over 40 years. They are not as cheap as chemical fertilizer, however we truely believe organic fertilizer contains rich in mineral which helps producing safe and delicious cherries. We always concentrate on “making the golden soil” will be possible to farm permanently. As well as we prioritize in producing healthy trees which is the basic of producing safe and delicious cherries. We will keep approaching all different methods.
Received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award. We received the highest award at the National Fruit Contest, the first in Hokkaido.
